WATERSTONE
VAIL, CO
“There’s no doubt this home belongs here, tucked away in the rolling, sagebrush‐covered hills.”
– Ann Leibman, Luxe Magazine
The angled glass on the bridges between the pods direct the eye to the ponds, waterfalls, and creek beds below. The use of bridges allows more outdoor walls on the living spaces.
Unconventional, contemporary curves and slopes are combined with traditional, natural materials. Battered, curved, and overhanging architectural forms evoke the geology of the landscape. The home’s design allows maximum connection with the environment.

Interconnected forms and a palette of stone, glass, patinaed copper, and weathered steel respond sculpturally to this dramatic site while holding up to the extreme conditions of a high desert environment. For the home’s location, an upper bench of the canyon was selected for its privacy, natural springs, and uninterrupted views of the New York mountain range.
