Modern house exterior with giant glass walls and a heavily-treed lot

ROCKY MOUNTAIN RESIDENCE

VAIL, COLORADO

Modern house exterior with monolithic concrete and giant glass walls

Monolithic concrete forms provide shelter while giant glass walls maximize views of the heavily-treed lot and mountain peaks in the distance. The gently arching roof provides protection while keeping in harmony with the natural elements of the site.

House interior with staircases, fireplace, glass center table and large sofa

The extremely steep site demanded an innovative design. From the garage and main entrance, an elevator and stair tower rises three stories to a glass bridge that accesses the main living areas.
