The home is designed and built with energy efficient and recycled materials, renewable energy systems and healthy home practices. It is a LEED certified home and was featured in a weekly television documentary that aired in Minnesota and Iowa.

Details
This home for a cancer survivor and her husband is designed with “Healthy Home” practices. This means the use of chemical-free, natural materials, together with systems that keep the air clean and free of allergens and other irritants. The design also includes many “Green Building” elements, including energy efficient and low-carbon-footprint materials, triple-pane windows, both photovoltaic and hot water solar panels, and ground-source heat pumps for geo-thermal energy.
