Located on a plateau above the valley basin, this home's design takes its cues from the surrounding landscape. Native sandstone was used for the stone monoliths which are visible both from the interior and the exterior. Geometric forms reflect the undulations of the surrounding mountains.
This is RKD's first major remodel of one of earlier projects and our last general contracting project. In 2002 we designed and built the guest bedrooms and a family room. 12 years later a large addition added a master bedroom suite; and office and the kitchen-living-dining area. The addition was completed in December of '13.
RKD was architect and general contractor for this project.
